02.04.1977 An own goal by a Cardiff City player gave Spurs a 1-0 half-time lead, in a match which they went on to win at White Hart Lane. Both teams were reduced to ten men when Fred Barwick and Cardiff's David Giles were sent off for fighting.

In the second half, Don McAllister added a second Tottenham goal, before the Bluebirds pulled a goal back. But a pass from Martin Robinson put the ball through for Kevin Stead, who scored a cracking goal to seal a 3-1 win.

30.11.1974 Tottenham's Reserves were 2-0 winners over Cardiff City Reserves at White Hart Lane in the Football Combination.

They had to do it without Chris Jones for the majority of the game, having to leave the play with an ankle injury, but it was his replacement, Danny Clapton who hit both goals – one in each half – against Spurs keeper Terry Lee, who is on loan to the Bluebirds and played very well between the sticks.

09.11.1971 Spurs Reserves beat Cardiff City 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the Football Combination, but it could have been any more.

Early on Jimmy Neighbour finished a good move from Roy Woolcott and Mike Dillon by putting his shot in at the keeper's near post.

Spurs were denied a further goal when Woolcott had an effort ruled out by the referee an s Ray Clarke's header was well kept out by the Bluebirds keeper. Spurs went into the break 2-0 up with minutes to go, when a long throw was headed on by Woolcott for Clarke to smash home a volley.

A stale-mate was played out in the second half, with neither team being able to penetrate the other's defence.

12.12.1970 Cardiff City Reserves held Spurs Reserves to a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane in the Football Combination.

Cardiff showed great strength in denying Spurs Reserves, although the side did not perform to the level they have done so far this season.  Tottenham had a litany of chances, with Roy Woolcott hitting the bar in the first half and the ball would not go over the line as a scramble ensued.  John Cutbush had an opportunity to win the game at the death, but shot straight at Frank Parsons in the Cardiff goal.
