          Notable Dates

1908 Voting took place to elect teams to the Football League and after a third ballot, Spurs won their place in the League in place of Stoke who withdrew for financial reasons.
2007 Tottenham broke the club transfer record to sign striker Darren Bent from Charlton Athletic for £16.5 million.
