1906 Alf Whyman plays his first Spurs match at outside left.
1908 Equal biggest margin on defeat in a home game against Bristol Rovers.

Alf Whyman plays his last Spurs match.

1936 Half back Frank Grice makes his debut.
1953 For the second time at the same ground, Blackpool denied Spurs an appearance in the FA Cup Final.  A last minute Alf Ramsey back-pass was intercepted and Blackpool scored in the very last seconds to take them on to the famous "Matthews Cup Final" against Bolton Wanderers.
1959 Dave Mackay makes his first Spurs appearance at half back.

1973 Stuart Nethercott, defender 1991-1998, born.
1999 Allan Nielsen's last gasp goal (and his last for the club) gives ten man Spurs the League Cup for the third time.  The dramatic win came after Justin Edinburgh had been sent off and in a deadly dull game, the Dane's winner at the death being the high point.
2009 Aaron Lennon makes his 150th career league appearance.
