Jimmy Seed, inside forward 1919-1927, born.

First home match against Brighton then bearing the name Brighton United and still Spurs biggest home defeat by that club.  Played in front of the smallest home crowd for a fixture against the Seagulls = 2,500

1907 Full back John Wilkinson makes his Spurs debut.
1910 Jimmy Kennedy makes his half back debut for Tottenham in their first  league match against Sunderland there.
1916 Bobby Steel scores for the club for the last time.
1918 Walter Tull is killed in action in World War I.
1922 The second year running that Spurs had met Preston in the FA Cup semi-final, this time at Hillsborough.  It was fate that Cup holders Spurs should lose their grip on the trophy as a goal was disallowed when the ref blew up for a Preston player being "injured" upfield when the ball was on it's way into the net, but had not crossed the line.
1926 Bill Bann plays his first game for Spurs in the full back position in front of the smallest away crowd for a game at Newcastle United = 11,247
1932 Full back Harry Marshall makes his one and only appearance for Spurs.
1933 Jimmy Brain scores for the last time for Spurs.
1939 Ron Burgess scores for his first Spurs goal.

1950 Terry Yorath, midfielder 1979-1981, born.
1978 Only game played against Mansfield Town away from home.  It did feature the highest number of goals scored in a match between the two clubs and the two goals by Glenn Hoddle are the most goals scored in a match against The Stags.

1986 Record appearance holder Steve Perryman leaves to join Oxford United after 17 years with the club.
