doomed to Second Division football and this match confirmed that.
With the home side looking to try and displace Liverpool at the top of
the table, the game went with the form book and Tottenham's relegation
was a fact. |

biggest away defeat at Southampton. Spurs were just two days away
from the first leg of the UEFA Cup Final, but the League said they had
to fulfill this fixture. Therefore, it was a mainly reserve side
that too to the field.
