Spurs are distancing themselves from Internacional and Brazil striker Leandro Damiao, after the forward said he will probably stay at his club and Andre Villas-Boas stated that he would not be likely to play for Spurs.  The Daily Mail disagree, saying Spurs are still in talks, but are hoping to barter them down from a £15 million asking price.
This may have something to do with a story in the Daily Mail that the chairman of Sevilla is in London to finalise the sale of Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo.  While the 27 year old forward is being linked with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea, it is thought Tottenham are the favourites to sign him on a four and a half year deal for £15 million and on wages of over £70,000 a week.

Germany's Under-21 captain and midfielder Lewis Holtby has agreed a pre-contract agreement with Tottenham and will join the club in July on a free transfer from Schalke 04.  The 22 year old has been a target for a number of clubs in the Premier League and abroad and
Alex Ferguson is griping about Tottenham's signing of Ezekiel Fryers, as he feels that Spurs have duped Manchester United over his signing.  Tottenham say that the fee for the player in the summer would have been near £6 million, which they did not feel reflected value, so he left to join Standard Liege for a smaller fee but with the Belgian club's manager having been sacked and Fryers falling out of contention for a place in the side, he grew homesick and wanted to return to England, with Spurs agreeing a move for the player through his representatives.  Tottenham say that in line with the conditions of his move to Standard, United will receive 5% of the fee Spurs have paid for the defender.
The Daily Mail claims that Spurs are willing to let Jake Livermore go out on loan with a view to a permanent transfer away from White Hart Lane.  The young
