The appeal against the Compulsory Purchase Order on Archway Sheet Metal of Paxton Road brought by the Josif family was today dismissed by Mr. Justice Dove as there was not a legal flaw in the process of serving the CPO.  The judge said their argument was purely semantic and thus this must be the first time something anti-semantic worked in Tottenham's favour.
There is still an appeal to the Court of Appeal within 21 days available to the company, but Justice Dove said there would be little hope of success.
The Josif family were ordered to pay the of the Government's legal costs, but claims for the costs of THFC and Haringey Council were refused.
If there is no further appeal, this would allow Tottenham to start the works very soon.  Perhaps they could raffle the opportunity to drive the bulldozers and raise some money to off-set their legal costs.
