Ledley King will most likely miss the rest of the
season after Harry Redknapp revealed the Spurs defender will
need an operation on his persistent groin injury.
A knee injury sustained by William Gallas has
required a scan to see how bad the damage is, but he will
definitely miss the Wigan Athletic match on Saturday and may
not be ready to face Real Madrid in the Bernabeu stadium.
Off the field, the club reported half-yearly figures that
showed an improvement on the same trading period last year
with operating profits of £4.2 million announced for the
last six months of 2010 in contrast to a £6.1 million loss.
The Daily Mirror reports that Spurs are looking favourites
to sign Ipswich Town's 18 year old striker Connor Wickham
for £15 million ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has told the
Metro that he would consider a good offer if made by
Tottenham this summer.
The Mirror also carries an old story about Niko Kranjcar
saying he will leave Spurs unless he gets more first team
football.
Polish keeper Artur Boruc is said to be a target for
Spurs and Everton as they eye the 313 year old Fiorentina
keeper.

Tottenham Hotspur has asked it's lawyers to send letters to
the Minister for Sport, the Olympic Park Legacy Company, the
Mayor of London, the Secretary of State for Local Government
and the London Borough of Newham asking about the way the
decision was made about who would occupy the Olympic Stadium
after the games in 2012. The club announced that they
have not issued legal proceedings, but would consider their
position when they have answers to their questions.
Jonathan Woodgate injured his calf in the Spurs XI
game against Barnet on Tuesday and will be out of contention
for the Champions League match in Madrid next week.

A Spurs XI beat Barnet 2-1 in a reserve team friendly at
Spurs Lodge today. Tom Huddlestone and
Jermaine Jenas turned out for Tottenham and the goals
came from a Kudus Oyenuga penalty and John Bostock.
Tom Carroll and Harry Kane played from the
start in England Under-19s 0-3 away defeat to Holland today.
Carroll was making his debut at this age group, while
Ryan Fredericks also won his first cap as a 46th minute
substitute, but Kane was substituted after 72 minutes.
The Daily Mirror claims that Spurs may be inundated with
offers for Gareth Bale in the summer, as Italian
media reports that they have made a bid for Olympique
Lyonnais' Brazilian left back/midfielder Michel Bastos.
The Daily Mail has Spurs as favourites to secure the free
signing of Bayern Munich's German international striker
Miroslav Klose.
TalkSport's website says that Brazilian international
midfielder Ganso intends to stay in Brazil with
Santos despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and
Spurs.
The Mirror also claim that Tottenham are set to move for
Sevilla's 25 year old Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo
in the summer.

A new deal has been signed by William Gallas which
will take him through to the end of the 2013 season.
Aaron Lennon has left the England squad ahead of the
friendly tomorrow with Ghana, after suffering a hamstring
injury.
Two of Tottenham's remaining games have been moved.
The home match against Blackpool on Saturday 7th May moves
from a 3:00 p.m. kick off to 5:30 p.m. to be shown on ESPN
and the away match at Anfield due to take place on Saturday
14th May now sees Spurs now take on Liverpool on Sunday 15th
May with the kick off shifted to 4:00 p.m., but will not be
transmitted on TV, as the move is to avoid a clash with the
FA Cup final.
Kyle Naughton played 73 minutes and Danny Rose
90 minutes in England Under-21s 1-2 defeat by Iceland in a
friendly at Preston North End tonight.
Young centre-half Steven Caulker has returned to
Tottenham from his loan at Bristol City after suffering knee
cartilage damage, which had ended his season and will
require surgery.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Spurs, Liverpool and Everton
will all be chasing Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago
in the summer. The Argentinian is said to be rated at
£10 million and the report claims Liverpool are favourites
to snap him up.
Michael Dawson has returned to Tottenham after being
released from the England squad, while Kyle Walker
has been ruled out with a groin injury and has gone back to

English clubs who have been told that Lille's young Belgian
midfielder Eden Hazard can leave if they receive a

Rafael van der Vaart opened the scoring in Holland's
4-0 Euro 2012 victory over Hungary in tonight.
The Daily Star claims Spurs and Ajax are both after 18 year

with Spurs winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Dean Parrett

The Victoria Line will be completely closed on Saturday when

Under-21 squad to face Denmark Away and Iceland at home in

The deal could be a straight cash transfer or a cash plus

Roma striker Adriano says his future lies in Brazil
when his contract is up with the Italian club.
In the Times, they claim that Spurs are stealing a march on

is rated as fifty-fifty in his chances to play against AC
Milan tomorrow, but may have a late fitness test on the
stiffness in his legs after Sunday's match at Wolverhampton

race to be fit to start and it is likely that Jermain

The Daily Mail report that Aston Villa are favourites to
sign Lille striker Gervinho, but that Spurs,
Newcastle United and Liverpool are also interested in the 24
year old Ivory Coast international who might cost £15
million.
With a breakdown in his contract negotiations, Arsenal
defender Gael Clichy is rumoured to be considering a

the long term injured players Ledley King (groin),
Jonathan Woodgate (groin), Tom Huddlestone
(ankle), Vedran Corluka (ankle), Gareth Bale
(back), Younes Kaboul (knee) and Rafael van der
Vaart (calf).
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS TEAM NEWS : - Wolves have
suffered a number of pull-outs through injury and these
include
Michael Kightly (knee), Guedioura (broken leg), Michael Mancienne (knee), Steven
Mouyokolo (knee) and Ronald Zubar (back), while David Jones
and David Edwards are both doubtful with leg injuries.
Spurs midfielder Jamie
O'Hara cannot play as he is at Molineux on loan from Spurs.
The Metro claims that Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester City are
both after Ghanaian striker Kwadwo Asamoah, who
