In response to yesterday's stories about Manchester City's
interest in Luka Modric, Harry Redknapp is
reported in the papers as saying he cannot do anything
should the Croatian midfielder be offered £200,000 a week in
wages.
Spurs Under-18s lost 2-4 to Ipswich Town at Spurs Lodge this
morning, with the two Tottenham goals coming from
Shaquile Coulthirst.

The time of Tottenham's FA Cup semi final against Chelsea at
Wembley will kick-off at 18:00 thanks to the wonderful
people at the FA and ITV. The match is live on TV and
the FA have decided it will be a late kick off on Sunday
15th April.
Spurs have announced that they will play Liverpool in
pre-season build-up, with the game being staged at the M&T
Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland USA. The match
will take place on Saturday 28th July with a 18:00 (GMT)
kick off.
The Daily Express claims Spurs will make a move for Swansea
City manager Brendan Rodgers should Harry Redknapp
be chosen as the next England manager and he takes up that
post.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - There is almost a full
squad for Harry Redknapp to choose from on Sunday for
the game against Swansea City. Only Tom Huddlestone
(ankle) and Michael Dawson (ankle) are absentees,
with Aaron Lennon ready to play after his recent
hamstring trouble.
SWANSEA CITY TEAM NEWS : - Spurs centre half Steven
Caulker on loan at Swansea must sit the game out and his
place could be taken by Garry Monk, while Nathan Dyer
returns after suspension, but former Spur Wayne Routledge
has done well while he has been out and may retain his place
in the starting line-up.
Once more on a Sunday Spurs match, the Victoria Line will be
totally out of action.

Tottenham's Premier League game at Bolton Wanderers has been
arranged for Wednesday 2nd May with a 20:00 p.m. kick off.
Spurs are to offer Ryan Nelsen a new one year
contract following his involvement with the club since his
free transfer in February.
The Daily Mail claims Spurs are looking likely to forego
signing Emmanuel Adebayor on a permanent deal in the
summer, as the Manchester City striker, who is on loan at
White Hart Lane for the season, will require more in terms
of salary and inducements than the club can offer.
Therefore, the paper claims Tottenham may look towards
Giuseppe Rossi of Villarreal and Loic Remy of
Marseille.

tie at White Hart Lane tonight. For a match report

Chelsea re petitioning the FA to move their FA Cup
semi-final at Wembley to the Friday night (13th April) to
allow them more time to prepare for the Champions League
semi-final should they beat Benfica in the quarter final.
There may be little chance of this, as the Metropolitan
Police will need to allocate resources elsewhere on a Friday
night and may not countenance an all-London FA Cup
semi-final on that night. Also, the match is set for
live TV coverage on the Sunday and I assume that the company
covering the game would not wish to switch it and re-arrange
their scheduling.

but it has taken longer to catch up with what has been going
on than we thought.
The Sunday Mirror claims that Luka Modric is stalling
on signing a new contract at the club until he knows who
will be the Tottenham manager next season. It is said
that he is awaiting the speculation about Harry Redknapp
becoming England manager and if the boss leaves, he may want
to exit for Chelsea or Manchester United.
The Mirror also claims Spurs and Chelsea will vie to sign
Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, who would cost a
fraction of his striking partner Edison Cavani, who
Chelsea are also interested in.
The Sunday Express claims Spurs and Chelsea will also battle
it out in the summer for the services of Newcastle United
striker Demba Ba, who is said to have a £7 million
buy-out clause.
The Metro claim Spurs will miss out on Brazil and
Internacional striker Leandro Damiao and Villareal
and Italy forward Giuseppe Rossi, who both favour
moves to Italy.
The Sun on Sunday claims that Spurs, Arsenal and Bayern
Munich will watch the situation regarding Salomon Kalou,
who may be set to leave Chelsea this summer.
The People run a story that say that Newcastle United and
Sunderland may both be looking to sign Danny Rose in
the summer.

Tottenham's Sixth Round FA Cup tie with Bolton Wanderers was
abandoned after 41 minutes, with the score 1-1, after Bolton
midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch and needed
CPR. The player left the field on a stretcher and the
game was called off. He was admitted to the London
Heart Hospital and was in a critically ill condition.
Our thoughts are with the player and his family and friends
at this worrying time.

Lennon definitely out, while Adebayor is a doubt.
William Gallas may start after a long term calf muscle
problem and may partner Ledley King if he passes a
late fitness test. Michael Dawson's ankle
ligament injury rules him out, Heurelho Gomes has had
an operation on his knee, David Bentley's knee injury
rules him out and Tom Huddlestone is still out following his
ankle surgery.
BOLTON WANDERERS TEAM NEWS : - Marvin Sordell is
cup-tied after playing against Spurs for Watford earlier in
the competition and Tyrone Mears (knee), Ricardo Gardner
(hip), Stuart Holden (knee) and C Lee (broken leg) are all
missing too. Defender Marcos Alonso might return after
missing a long period out with a broken foot, while Chris
Eagles faces a late fitness test on a hamstring pull.
Tottenham have been voted the most entertaining team to
watch this season by three quarters of the Premier League

At last ... some Spurs news !! The Daily Mail claim
that Tottenham are sending a scout to watch Liverpool's 17
year old striker Raheem Sterling, as he will be
playing in the NextGen semi-final against Ajax. It is
rumoured that the youngster is disillusioned at the lack of
first team opportunities at Anfield.
The Spurs XI side took the lead against Brighton at Spurs
Lodge today, thanks to a goal from Alex Pritchard,

looks to have overcome his knee knock, but David Moyes is

out for a long spell after getting an ankle injury on
Wednesday and another victim in the FA Cup game was Aaron
Lennon, whose hamstring pull keeps him out of contention.
Tom Huddlestone (ankle) is out for the rest of the
season, as is David Bentley (knee), but William
Gallas might be on the bench with injuries hitting the
back four.
EVERTON TEAM NEWS : - Darron Gibson misses out with a
knee injury, with striker Victor Anichebe (groin) and
midfielder Jack Rodwell (hamstring) their only other doubts.

Daniel Levy wants Harry Redknapp to stay with Spurs,
the manager said at his press conference today, but there
have been no new contract talks, with the FA not making a
move for him as the England boss either. The FA have
sent a letter to Premier League managers, according to Alex

ruptured ankle ligaments in tonight's FA Cup Fifth Round
replay and will be out of action for the rest of the season,
if the damage is confirmed.

(knee) and Ledley King (knee) are both ruled out of
the FA Cup replay against Stevenage tomorrow, but Gareth
Bale is over his virus, Rafael van der Vaart has
recovered from his ankle injury and Scott Parker is
available after suspension. Jermain Defoe could
start up front and there may be a start for William
Gallas if he can pass a match fitness test. Tom
Huddlestone is still out having had surgery on his

A Spurs XI played Southampton this afternoon at Spurs Lodge
and lost 2-3 despite Souleymane Coulibaly scoring a
brace.
Harry Redknapp said that the Chelsea manager's job,
which he had been linked to in the media, was not for him.
Former Spurs defender Gudni Bergsson has been stabbed
in his leg at a law firm in Rejkavik in his homeland of
Iceland after running to the aid of a colleague who was
seriously injured in an attack. Bergsson has been
released from hospital while his colleague remain in a
serious condition in hospital.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea
are all on standby should Dutch winger Arjen Robben
fulfil his stated intention to return to the Premier League
at the end of season. The Bayern Munich player might
cost as little as £10 million.
Metro are reporting that England full backs Kyle Walker
and Glen Johnson have been identified as transfer
targets by Real Madrid for the summer.
£12 million rated Ajax central defender Jan Vertonghen
has told the Daily Star on Sunday that he thinks his game is
suited to English football and that he would love to join
Tottenham.
The People are suggesting that the FA and Spurs might come
to an arrangement should Harry Redknapp be appointed
as England manager, with
Tottenham getting the use of Wembley for home games during
the rebuilding of White Hart lane rent free as part of a
compensation deal for losing their boss. This is a
little strange as the plan was to build the new ground
alongside the old one and the only disruption would be when
the new South stand is built, as the move to the new stadium
would be made while that part of the ground was completed,
utilising the other three sides.

The Metro claims that Sao Paulo's 19 year old Brazilian
international midfielder Lucas has said he will leave
in the summer and this has alerted Arsenal, Spurs and

will hopefully be fit after suffering a hamstring strain in
midweek while on duty with Wales. Other absentees from
the midweek internationals who will be fit are Rafael van

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM NEWS : - Wayne Rooney will be
fit to return to the Manchester United side after suffering

Smalling, who had a serious head injury in England's game in
midweek. Darren Fletcher's ulcerative colon keeps him
out for the rest of the season and Richie de Laet's shin
problem rules him out for the remainder of the campaign too.

battle for Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente
in the summer.
The FA have said that they will not make a decision on the
new England manager until near the end of the season.
This is said by some to imply that Stuart Pearce will lead
England into Euro 2012 and the new manager will take over
afterwards, with Harry Redknapp said be being joined
