Aston Villa keeper Brad Friedel looks like he will be
joining Spurs, after they jumped ahead of Liverpool in their
race to sign the American keeper on a two year deal.
The report in the Daily Mirror claims Heurelho Gomes
will be sold to allow Friedel to take over as the number one
goalie at the club, with Carlo Cudicini as back up.
If Luka Modric is to leave Tottenham, the Daily Mail reckons Spurs will
replace him with Milan Badelj of Dinamo Zagreb, with
the 22 year old who took Modric's place at his club being
rated at £8.5 million.
The Metro go out on a limb with a story claiming that
Manchester United goalkeeper Tomaz Kuszczak will make
a move to Germany rather than join Tottenham.
Former Spurs reserve defender Danny Foster has signed
a new two year deal with Wycombe Wanderers.

The Daily Mail claims that Manchester United will make a £20
million bid for Luka Modric, with former Spurs
striker Dimitar Berbatov thrown in as a part of the
deal
Barcelona are favourites to sign Villarreal striker
Giuseppe Rossi for £40 million ahead of Tottenham
according to the Daily Mirror.
Internazionale's and Juventus' interest in Gareth Bale
will need £50 million to prise him away from White Hart Lane
according to the Mirror, but that Spurs will accept £25
million for Luka Modric with Manchester United and
Chelsea keen on the Croatian.
The Mirror also reports that Spurs may spend some of this
money they could perhaps receive on Internacional's
Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.

The Metro reports that Spurs are to be offered Bulgarian
striker Dimitar Berbatov back, after he was omitted
from the Manchester United Champions League final side and
is considered surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
There was a third place finish for the Spurs Under-18 team
in the Copa Amsterdam tournament, after losing 0-1 to hosts
Ajax in the semi-final, but with the third/fourth place game

will battle for the signing of £10 million Scott Parker
of relegated West Ham United.
Spurs and Arsenal are both willing to pay £26 million for
Porto striker Radamel Falcao according his
representative reported in the Daily Mirror.
Meanwhile Napoli president Aurelio di Laurentiis has said to
the same paper that he has not received a bid for
Ezequiel Lavezzi, the Argentinian striker.

Jermain Defoe has withdrawn from the England squad to
play Switzerland on June 4th in a Euro 2012 qualifier.
The Daily Mail reports that Heurelho Gomes has asked
PSV Eindhoven about a return to the Dutch club.

Carlo Cudicini has signed a one year extension on his
contract which will keep him at Spurs until the summer of
2012.
Jamie O'Hara has told the Daily Mirror that he wants
to move to Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent
basis after enjoying his loan spell there since January.
A deal reportedly worth £4 million is on the table and the
midfielder hopes it can be completed in the coming weeks.
The Mirror also reveals that Galatasaray are ready to outbid

Bassong to Stoke City in an attempt to bring defender
Ryan Shawcross to White Hart Lane.
The Mirror quotes Harry Redknapp from yesterday's
press conference stating that Tottenham are in competition
with Arsenal and Liverpool for the transfer of relegated
West Ham United's Scott Parker.
On the TalkSport website, they report that Tottenham,
Manchester City and Chelsea are all chasing 19 year old
Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois. The Daily Star
has Chelsea down as making a bid for the talented £5 million

It seems like silly season has started with the transfer
talk. Firstly, TalkSport's website reckons that AC
Milan will make a move for Tottenham midfielder Sandro
by offering money plus 30 year old former Gooner Mathieu
Flamini, who perpetrated a highly dangerous tackle on
Vedran Corluka in the Champions League game at the San Siro.
Secondly, the Metro make a story with no discernable facts
about Harry Redknapp telling players of offers
received for them and this somehow mutated into Spurs
letting Gareth Bale go if they received a £40 million
bid from Manchester City for the Welsh wing back.
Obviously, there is little going on at the moment and
imagination is running wild.

to be fit after tweaking a hamstring in midweek.
Definitely out of the match are Milan Jovanovic (knee),
Fabio Aurelio (ankle), Steven Gerrard (groin), Daniel Agger
(knee) and Martin Kelly (hamstring).
The Times claims that Harry Redknapp has made a second trip
to Spain to watch Espanyol striker Daniel Osvaldo.
Hamburg's Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has
intimated that he would welcome a return to the Premier
League and Spurs and Blackburn Rovers are said to be
interested according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mirror report on a BBC interview in which
Emmaneul Adebayor said he was due to join Tottenham
before his loan form Manchester City to Real Madrid and
would be happy to come to N17 even though the Tottenham
supporters were criticised for singing songs of a racist
nature about him at the Champions League quarter final first
leg tie. UEFA did not charge the club because of those
songs.
TalkSport reckon that Ajax Keeper Maarten Stekelenburg
is wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham, but they may
be beaten to his signature by Schalke.
Roman Pavlyuchenko is a summer target for Sunderland
it is reported in the Daily Mail.
The Times state that QPR manager Neil Warnock could be
aiming to sign Robbie Keane from Tottenham.

Spanish club Sevilla are interested in buying Roman
Pavlyuchenko in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Mail also reckon that Spurs are trying to nip ahead of
Chelsea to sign two 15 year old Vitesse Arnhem players -
Issa Kallon and Tristan Berghuis.
TalkSport reckon that Spurs had looked at bringing
Freddie Kanoute back to the club as he is about to leave
Sevilla this summer, but he has no desire to come back and
play in the Premier League.
The Sun claims Spurs will bid £500,000 for Ipswich Town's
Canadian youngster Caolan Lavery, who impressed in a
recent Under-18 game in which he scored the Tractor Boys'
goal.
The Spurs Under-18 team finished their season with a win

the Sunday Mirror, with a £10 million fee expected if West
Ham United are relegated. The England midfielder was
shown on Sky TV yesterday watching the Chelsea v Spurs match
at Stamford Bridge sitting with Jamie Redknapp.
The paper claims that one of Harry Redknapp's former
players is another target, with Joe Cole being
