Spurs are rumoured to be ready to make an offer for Hull
City Boaz Myhill. The BBC website claims the
American born Welsh keeper will be made available for £2
million, as the Tigers seek to reduce their level of debt.
Spurs have signed Academy players Tom Carroll, Jake
Nicholson and Nathan Byrne on their first
professional contracts. The club have release Sam Cox
(now at Barnet), Lee Butcher (now at Leyton Orient),
Chace O'Neill, Coskun Ekim, Jamie Butler and
Anthony Jack.

The
Daily Mirror says today that Spurs are offering Joe Cole
a big signing on fee, £60,000 a week and bonuses related to
performance in an attempt to beat Arsenal to snap up the
player Chelsea have released.
A Spurs spokesman has been reported as saying that Tottenham
"have not bid for these player" in response to stories
coming out of Palermo that Spurs had offered £28 million for
defender Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani, the
Uruguayan striker.

There appears to be some credence to the rumour about
Tottenham's interest in Palermo pair Simon Kjaer and
Edinson Cavani. The President of the club -
Mauricio Zamparini - confirmed a £28 million offer for them
and said it was too good to turn down, especially as both
players have said they want to leave.

Jermain Defoe played 71 minutes of England's 1-4
defeat to Germany in the World Cup Round of 16 in
Bloemfontein today. Aaron Lennon, Ledley King,
Peter Crouch and Michael Dawson were all unused
substitutes.
Giovani dos Santos played 90 minutes of Mexico's 1-3
defeat to Argenitina in the World Cup Round of 16 today.
The Sunday Mirror claims that Spurs are favourites to sign
Paris St. Germain's Benin international midfielder
Stephane Sessegnon for £8 million.
In the same paper they reckon that Eidur Gudjohnsen
might get frustrated waiting for Tottenham to make his loan
deal of last season permanent, thus forcing him into joining
Fulham, although Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers are also
showing an interest in the Monaco striker, but it is felt
that he would want to stay in London.
The injury that has kept Jonathan Woodgate out for
the majority of the last season will be assessed by the club
in the coming week to see what they might do next. The
central defender has been to America and Australia looking
for a solution, but he may be no nearer getting to a
position where he can play yet.

their World Cup group game against Portugal that ended 0-0
and sees them through to the Round of 16.
Wilson Palacios played the 90 minutes of
Honduras' 0-0 draw with Switzerland that ended both teams'
hopes of progressing to the Round of 16 in the World Cup.
Spurs have announced that they will play Villareal of Spain
on Thursday 29th July with a 8:00 p.m. kick off and
Fiorentina of Italy on Saturday 7th August kicking off at

German defender Serdar Tasci is believed to be a

player is happy at VfB Stuttgart.
26 year old Paris St. Germain midfielder Stephane
Sessegnon has said he will be heading for the Premier
League when he leaves the French club with Everton and Spurs
linked with a price tag of £8 million on the Benin
international.
Spurs have come to an agreement with Frenford Clubs in
Barkingside, Essex to stage the younger Academy games at
their ground at Oakfields until the new Tottenham Academy is
ready in Enfield. The deal will last two years.

The Sunday Mirror has a story bringing out the news that
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp wants to bring
Atletico Madrid's Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan to
White Hart Lane although Spurs only want to pay £8.5m as
opposed to the £12m or more the Spanish club are asking.
However, Spurs may not be successful in signing up Everton's
Steven Pienaar, who might sign a new deal at Goodison
Park according to the Mirror.
The Sunday Mirror also report that Spurs will resume their
training for pre-season on July 7th, with the World Cup
participants coming back just two weeks later to get ready
for the Champions League qualifier.
The News of the World run a piece that Spurs are likely to
let midfielder Adel Taarabt leave in the summer for
La Liga club Villareal.
The Daily Star Sunday claims that Spurs are keen to sign
Sporting Gijon defender Jose Angel, but so are Wigan
Athletic and Liverpool.

The Mail on Sunday claims that top of Harry Redknapp's
summer transfer targets are Klaas Jan Huntelaar of AC
Milan and Everton's Steven Pienaar, who may be
joining in a deal that sees Jermaine Jenas move to
Goodison Park in exchange for the South African
international. Robbie Keane may well be sold
off to Aston Villa raise money for any deal for Huntelaar
they report.
Another deal rumoured in the Mail on Sunday is another swap
deal as Tottenham are keen on Bolton Wanderers defender
Gary Cahill and Alan Hutton plus cash will go the
other way to the Reebok stadium.
The rumour in the Sunday Mirror is that yet another swap
deal is on the cards with Jamie O'Hara heading to
Upton Park to be re-united with Avram Grant, with Spurs
signing West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.
West Ham are considering a £5 million bid for O'Hara anyway.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are in the market for Udinese's 19
year old Ghanaian central defender Jonathan Mensah,
according to the Sunday Mirror.
The Mirror also reckon that Jermaine Jenas is heading
for the exit door at White Hart Lane, with Stoke City ready
to offer £7 million for him.
