The Daily Mail also runs a story claiming that Tottenham and
Bolton Wanderers are chasing free agent, Hosny Abd Rabo.
His contract with Egyptian club Ismaily has run down and the
26 year old defender who was Player of the Tournament at the
African Cup of Nations in 2008 is also being chased by
Bolton Wanderers.
Still with the Mail also claims that Uzbekistan club Anhzi
Mahachkala want to sign striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.
It is thought that they want to pay £10 million, but Spurs
want nearer £15 million, with the club that plays in the
Russian league heavily funded and looking to sign a string
of top stars.
Manchester City may have been pipped to the signing of
Caen's 16 year old protégée - French striker M'Baye Niang,
after Spurs are said to have offered £7 million and the
prospect of first team football for the player who has taken
French football by storm in his first season in the first
team.
The Mail and the Daily Mirror seem to be more certain that
Tottenham are about to sign Antonio Pedroza Whitham,
a 20 year old striker who was born in Chester, but plays his
football in Mexico where his father is from. He is at
the end of his contract and is said to be worth somewhere
around £1 million to his club Jaguares, with the paper
claiming Spurs moved quickly to visit Mexico to seal a four
year deal for the player.

Spurs announced that they will be making a further appeal
for a judicial review of the Olympic Park Legacy Company's
decision to hand the stadium to West Ham United after
the 2012 Games. The club will make an oral
presentation at the High Court after their initial appeal

Former Spurs reserve striker Andy Barcham has joined

The Glenn Hoddle academy set-up has split from

reckon that Tottenham are about to offer Jermaine Jenas,

The Sunday Mirror runs a story claiming that Gareth Bale
will ask to leave Spurs should Luka Modric be sold.
However, to put a stop to Chelsea's and other club's
interest in the Croatian, the Mail on Sunday reckon that
Tottenham will up his wages to £90,000 a week, making him
the top earner at the club ever.
The Sunday People reports that Liverpool's Director of
Football Damien Comolli is intending to take Aaron
Lennon to Liverpool, with a fee of £20 million expected
to be asked for the England winger.
A story in the Sunday People claim that Atletico Madrid
could be interested in David Bentley. Having
been linked with him previously, the Spanish club might be
willing to give the winger a chance to resurrect his career
after his failure to win a regular place following his move

The Daily Mail claim that Spurs midfielder Niko Kranjcar

Spurs are bracing themselves for further interest in Luka
Modric, as the Daily Mail report that the Croatian
midfielder has told them he wants to leave and join Chelsea.
The Times reckon that Roman Abramovich will up the bid for

Spurs have announced that their final pre-season friendly
before the season begins will be at home to Athletic Bilbao

Sky Sports reports that Spurs have rejected a £22 million
offer from Chelsea for Luka Modric, but it is
expected that the Pensioners will be back with an improved
bid for the Croatian midfielder.

The Daily Mirror suggest that Harry Redknapp is
willing to meet Arsenal's valuation of Blackburn Rovers
defender Christopher Samba as the two clubs vie for
his services.
Younes Kaboul is a target for Marseille, who may try

Danny Rose played 67 minutes of England Under-21s 1-1
draw with Spain in the European Championships in Denmark
tonight, with Kyle Walker playing the whole game,
making England's last minute equaliser.
The Sunday Mirror reports that Daniel Levy will be
ready to report any club who unsettles Luka Modric
with transfer talk to the FA. Harry Redknapp
made it clear that Levy has no intention of selling the
club's top players and that the unwarranted attention from

Spurs are linked with a move for AS Roma's Mirko Vucinic
in the Daily Mirror today. The 27 year old Montenegro
striker could cost up to £12 million, but has said he
doesn't want to leave his club.
The report also re-iterates Harry Redknapp's interest
in Espanyol's Argentinian striker Pablo Osvaldo
hinting at a £13 million bid, but claims that the manager

American goalkeeper Brad Friedel has agreed to join
Tottenham on a two year deal. The 40 year old is a
free agent after his contract with Aston Villa expired and
he will challenge Heurelho Gomes for the goalie's gloves in
the first team.

Manchester United are making Luka Modric one of their
main summer transfer targets according to the Daily Mirror,
but Harry Redknapp has said that none of Tottenham's
top players will be leaving in contrast with comments made
to the Press in Croatia by the midfielder, who said he is
happy with his life at Tottenham, but if an offer came in
from a club in the Champions League and it suited Spurs,
anything could happen.
The Mirror reveals that Espanyol want £17 million for
striker Pablo Osvaldo, with Fulham having already bid
£10 million, but having had it turned down.
The same newspaper recounts how Harry Redknapp is talking
with Jonathan Woodgate about a pay-as-you-play
contract for the coming season.
Also in the Mirror, they claim that QPR manager Neil Warnock
wants to take defenders Kyle Walker and Kyle
Naughton on loan for the 2011-12 season, but with Spurs
set to offer both Warnock's former charges at Sheffield
United new contracts may be loaned out to gain more top
level experience.
