Tottenham are awaiting to see the outcome of the fall-out at
Southampton, where rumours of Morgan Schneiderlin
handing in a transfer request have not been confirmed, nor
have rumours of a bust-up in training involving three senior
figures at the South Coast club. Jay Rodriguez
also remains a target despite the Saints Chief Exec saying
neither playing is going anywhere.
Spurs are allegedly in discussions to bring Eric Dier,
the England Under-21 and Sporting Lisbon defender - back to
England. The player has lived in Portugal since he was
very young, but may be keen on a move to his homeland to
gain more first team experience, although any deal may
include a loan back to Sporting for the coming season.
The fee for the 20 year old is said to be £4 million and
some reports leave out the loan aspect of the deal, although
Sporting are keen on a sell-on condition. Dier is the
grandson of former FA chief Ted Croker.
Derby County are being linked with a loan move for Tom
Carroll.
Most of the World Cup players were back in training at

Yago Falque is said to be set to move to Serie A side

would not be sold this summer.
On-line rumours claim Spurs have offered a two year deal to

There are strong rumour sin the papers and online that
Tottenham are very close to completing the double signing of
Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and
striker Jay Rodriguez for a sum believed to be in the
region of £50 million. There is some doubt about the
terms of any transfer for Rodriguez who is currently
recovering from a knee ligament injury.
Spurs are also supposedly close to bringing Portuguese
international defender Miguel Lopez to White Hart
Lane, initially on loan with a view to a permanent move.
The 27 year old Sporting Lisbon full back can cover both
sides of the back four, but it is believed that Spurs want
him to cover for Kyle Walker.
This would appear to be necessary should Swansea City's
interest in Kyle Naughton be allowed to come to
fruition. The Welsh club are set to make a formal
approach for the right back and whispers reckon Tottenham
will be willing to let him move to get more first team
action
Stories coming out of Italy claim that Napoli will make a
move for Christian Eriksen, but it is unlikely that
Spurs will allow the Danish midfielder to leave after a very

Conversely, Spurs are linked with a move for Napoli
midfielder Valon Behrami, after he stormed out of

As Ben Davies trained with Tottenham for the first
