While Transfer Deadline Day happened across the country, it didn't happen in N17 with surprisingly no comings or goings despite the rumours that had been doing the rounds.  Although the English transfer window has closed, the European window is open until the end of the month, so it is possible that some players may leave for the continent by that time. So, as clubs across the country were scurrying to complete deals at the last minute, Daniel Levy had a day off.

Spurs only seem willing to offer GBP25 million for Jack Grealish and to be honest that seems about right, but the club also refused to sign free transfer midfielder Bernard from Shakhtar Donetsk, as he wanted GBP200,000 a week in wages.  Manchester United no only want to buy Toby Alderweireld, but also Kieran Trippier.  It's one way of bankrupting them I suppose !!  Trippier is also being linked with Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus.  Having managed Jay Rodriguez at Southampton, Mauricio Pochettino is keen to be re-united with him at Tottenham.  Having see him in action tonight for WBA against Nottingham Forest, I am not sure he will help us win a trophy.  Real Madrid are keen on signing Christian Eriksen, while AS Roma might be poised to make a bid for Victor Wanyama, but Tottenham may be making a move for French Under-21 international midfielder Tanguy Ndombele of Olympic Lyonnais.  Shamrock Rovers' 16 year old keeper Gavin Bazunu is the subject of a bid from Spurs, with several other English clubs interested, but Tottenham have made the first solid bid for the young stopper.
