TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Heung-Min Son
will be missing from the Spurs squad in Monaco for the

Dembele (foot), Ryan Mason (knee) and Nabil Bentaleb

Spurs are rumoured to have had productive talks with MK Dons
about a move to their ground for the "away" season while
White Hart Lane is rebuilt a few yards north of its current
location. After canvassing the Tottenham support, it
is interesting that, should this be true, the club are
ignoring options in London, unless they have been
investigated and been found unviable.
Nathan Oduwa and Harry Winks have been named
in the England Under-20 squad to travel to Germany to face
Holland, Turkey and Germany next week in the Mercedes Cup.
Some good news following yesterday's story about Lawrence
Vigouroux, the former Spurs Under-21 keeper now at
Liverpool, as Swindon Town have taken him back on loan and
will give him a second chance. It turns out, according
to the BBC, 1p coins are only legal tender up to 20p, so his
5,000 used to pay off his club fine for being late would not
have been accepted and his "banter" would have back-fired on
him big time.

Not a lot of directly Spurs related news today, all opinion
and suggestions for Thursday's match against AS Monaco.
However, a couple of ex-Spurs players make the news for all
the wrong reasons. Adel Taarabt may be got shot
of by Benfica, who regard him as over-weight (sound familiar
?). They are considering their options, as are
Liverpool with former Spurs Under-21 keeper Lawrence
Vigouroux. The Chilean Youth international was on
loan at Swindon Town, but got fined GBP150 for turning up
late for training. His team-mates got it down to GBP50
and the keeper decided to pay it in 1p pieces. Not
seeing the humorous side, Swindon sent him packing back to
Anfield, where he is to have his place at the club
re-assessed following rumours of attitude issues causing
problems.

The FA have unsurprisingly put out a story putting all the
blame on Spurs for Harry Kane's lack of sharpness in

rather than the England Under-21s shockingly bad

England Under-21 international goalkeeper Jordan Pickford

Sunderland keeper is on loan at Preston North End and is

Tottenham have been linked with a few potential January
transfer window moves with German and Polish players being
watched. One was a link from a while back, with Lech
Poznan midfielder Karel Litany also attracting
interest from Manchester City, so it will be a question of
whether the player wants to play or wants to stockpile cash.
The second story reports that Spurs had scouts at the
Borussia Moenchengladbach v 1FC Koln game in the Bundesliga

to run the rule over 23 year old midfielder Kevin Vogt, who they were interested in during the summer

The Mirror claims that Spurs are looking to have talks with
Emmanuel Adebayor to terminate his contract as the
best way out of a situation that is doing neither party any
good. With the player refusing to train with the first
team and not being given a squad number, his re-introduction
to the senior squad may not be popular with the Spurs fans
and with no movement possible until January, the former
Arsenal striker may have to become a free agent to find
another way of playing. Whether his agent - God - will
be in on the negotiations, I don't know, but then he is
omnipresent, so he will know what's going on and will give
Ade a sign about who to sign for. Meanwhile, back in

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Heung-Min Son
is set to make his first appearance for Spurs after being
included in the squad to travel to Sunderland, but Christian Eriksen is still side-lined with his knee
injury and Mousa Dembele's foot injury rules him out
too. Emmanuel Adebayor has played his last game for

future, be missing his name. Clinton Njie is
close to match fitness following his arrival at Spurs with a
muscle injury.
SUNDERLAND TEAM NEWS : - Steven Fletcher's knock has
knocked him out of the Sunderland squad, while Adam
Matthews' foot injury will keep him out of action for
another six weeks. Adam Johnson has a shoulder injury
making him unavailable and Jordi Gomez's fractured knee cap
also rules him out of selection for Sunday's match with
Tottenham.
Emmanuel Adebayor's non-future at the club has been
the main talking point of the day, only challenged in it's
pomposity by Steven Gerrard's claim that Spurs wanted
to sign him in his last year at Liverpool, but it wouldn't
have been the same buzz as going through it all again with
Liverpool. "Buzz" ? Does that translate as cash
? He thought it was nice that Mauricio Pochettino
still rated him though. However, the former Liverpool
captain made nothing clear about how he would have been
integrated into the side. The transfer window has
slammed shut days ago, but the rumours keep flying out
through it, with the latest being a last minute GBP 8
million bid for Fiorentina midfielder Josip Ilicic.
He would have been a big signing at 6' 3". Tony Pulis,
the West Bromwich Albion manager, has said that Spurs will
never sign Saido Berahino, which may be somewhat as a
blessing in disguise, with Adebayor training with the youth

Twitter if not on the pitch. He might have been a

So, that was deadline day ... and what have Spurs done ...
INS
Let's start with the easy one ... no signings on deadline
day today. Come on ... let me help you up off the
floor. Despite a myriad of rumours of wheeling and
dealing worthy of Harry at his best, nothing happened and
Tottenham are left with only Harry Kane up front.
So, for Tottenham, there was no Deadline Transfer Day Tax
... or the Daniel Levy as we come to know it.
OUTS
Now, this one is a bit more tricky. One of the deals
that went through on deadline day was DeAndre Yedlin's
season long loan to Sunderland, where he will link up with
former Spurs players Jermain Defoe and Younes
Kaboul. Another was Aaron Lennon's
permanent transfer to Everton for an undisclosed fee
(thought to be GBP 4.5 million), so expect another glum
signing on photo from the little winger. Newcastle
United were reported with making a late bid for his
signature. RUMOURS
A good one was Erik Lamela to Everton for GBP 18
million. That made me chuckle. Or the
Argentinian going to Southampton on a season long loan + GBP
20 million for Victor Wanyama. With his move to
Marseille being vetoed by Mauricio Pochettino because
Spurs couldn't sign a replacement, you couldn't make these
up really. Well, you couldn't, but the media
can obviously. Sevilla failed with a late bid to take
Federico Fazio back to Spain is another one.
The defensive midfield slot proved a hard one to bring a
player into, with Axel Witsel wanting to leave Zenit
St. Petersburg, but the Russian club priced him out of a
move, so the London Evening Standard claimed Spurs enquired
about the availability of Chiek Tiote of Newcastle
United. Allegedly, Ismail Azzaoui was lined up
for a loan spell with Coventry City until Wolfsburg came and
blew their house down with a permanent deal for the Belgian
youngster. Chelsea winger Victor Moses is
reported as turning down a loan move to go on a similar deal
to Upton Park for the rest of the season, while West Ham
United were reported to have rejected a GBP 15 million offer
for midfielder Chiekhou Kouyate. A bid by Aston
Villa to loan Andros Townsend was turned down by
Spurs.
Spurs offering Emmanuel Adebayor to Marseille and
were so keen to get rid of him that they were willing to
terminate his contract and allow him to find a club as
a free agent. Not content with that, he is sitting
tight and appears in the media to be demanding a GBP 5
million pay-off. So, why give him what he wants and
allow him to join a club getting a big signing on fee, when
we can pay him his salary for a year and let him rot in the
nether-world of greed driven non-footballers, who pose about
on social media for a lot of their time. The man might
as well go around the Spurs crowd and ask for each
individual's bank account details, he has taken so much
money of us. Despicable. And then to say he was
looking for a sign from God to tell him it was right to move
to Aston Villa earlier in the summer. Well. To
look to religion and put the blame there shows some sort of
psychological issue which I have no background to go into.
Anyway, what would Mammon have said to Adebayor, when he
might need to take some lessons from him ? One
headline I saw said "Adebayor demands GBP 5 million to walk
away". For that much, I would want him to get out of
N17 by the quickest means possible, not by walking. He
hasn't broken sweat for months.
The big one was of course the buying of all the eggs in one
basket by Spurs, also known as the strange case of Saido
Berahino. Tottenham wanted the West Bromwich
Albion striker and he wanted to come to White Hart Lane, so
what could go so wrong ? Well war was declared by
Jeremy Peace, who is the King of Albion forsooth. He
decided that the pretender King, Daniel Levy would
not take his crown and dug his heels into Spurs, spurning
offers of Gold, Frankincense and More. None of the
four offers made seemed to satisfy the demands of Peace, who
doesn't like anyone outside of the B71 postcode and said he
would not sell his man for all the tea in Tesco.
Well, not without any conditions being met or payment by
instalments being included in the deal ... even though every
other monarch in the realm accepting that this is the way
that bartering is carried out in the Worlde of Fotballe. Anyway, when Saido found out, he became saddo and told a
little bird who tweeted that he would no longer perform like
a dancing puppet for King Jeremy. This has led to some
disquiet in the Court of the Hawthorns and reparation is set
to be put on the agenda. Along with a nice cup of tea, which
will solve everything. Other Transfers
