Tottenham lost 1-2 at Norwich City in the Fifth Round of the
League Cup tonight. For a match report click

Steven Caulker is one of two England players charged
by Serbian Police with violence at a sporting event.
From the TV pictures I saw at the time, the only thing
Caulker could be charged with is being pushed in the back by
a Serbian coach, who was also brave enough to squirt water
into the face of Leeds United defender Tom Lees (the other
England player charged), while standing behind a Serbian
player.
Tottenham's NextGen team drew 1-1 away at Anderlecht today,
with the Spurs goal coming from a Nabil Bentaleb
penalty.
Tottenham's away game at QPR has been moved to Monday 14th
January with a 20:00 kick off for live TV coverage, unless
either side is involved in an FA Cup Third Round tie replay,
when it will revert to Saturday 12th January at 15:00.
Manchester United's visit to White Hart Lane is also to be
televised live with a 16:00 kick off on Sunday 20th January.

The Daily Mirror reports that Real Madrid are planning a £50
million bid for Gareth Bale in the summer, as Jose
Mourinho sees him as vital to the club's progress and the
Spanish team might start shedding players such as Kaka and
Mezut Ozil to clear the way for the massive bid for the
Welshman.
Spurs and Chelsea have been warned off a January move for
Marseille striker Loic Remy.
Manchester United, Spurs and Arsenal are said to be watching
the situation at Glasgow Celtic, where Nigerian midfielder
Victor Wanyama has allegedly turned down the offer of
a new contract, but manager Neil Lennon has said he rates
the player at £25 million, the Daily Mirror reckons.

The Sunday Mirror has a report that Spurs will make a
January transfer window swoop for Crystal Palace's England
Under-21 striker Wilfred Zaha, who is believed to be worth £20 million by
his club. It is claimed Tottenham would be willing to
pay £10 million down with the rest spread over a five year
deal.
In the Sun, Emmanuel Adebayor thinks his Spurs career
might be over before it starts. As well as wanting to
go to the African Cup of Nations with Togo in January (as
reported in the Mirror), the player feels he is being frozen
out by Andre Villas-Boas and wants showdown talks
with a view to leaving as he wants to play. Rumours
have been circulating for a few weeks about his
non-appearance, with various theories put forward as to why
he has not been starting.

Jermain Defoe played 67 minutes of England's 1-1 draw
in Poland in the country's World Cup qualifying match this
afternoon, while Kyle Walker and Aaron Lennon
were unused substitutes.
Danny Rose has been criticised by the Serbian FA for
his "inappropriate, unsportsmanlike and vulgar" behaviour after the game with the England
Under21s last night, but also went on to say there were no
grounds to claims that there was racial chanting at the
match.
Former Spurs keeper from 1978 to 1982, Milija Aleksic
suddenly died in Johannesburg. MEHSTG is saddened to
hear this news and sends it's condolences to his family and
friends at this sad time.
Tottenham have turned down an official written approach by

postponed as the pitch was waterlogged and they couldn't
closer the roof. The game is scheduled to take place
tomorrow.
Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen played the 90
minutes for Belgium, as they beat Scotland 2-0 in Brussells
in their World Cup qualifying group.
Wales lost 0-2 to Croatia away in their World Cup qualifier
and Gareth Bale played the whole match.
Hugo Lloris saved a penalty in France's 1-1 away draw
with Spain in the World Cup qualifying match.
Iceland lost their home qualifying match against Switzerland
and Gylfi Sigurdsson was involved for the whole 90
minutes.
Sandro came on as a last minute substitute in
Brazil's 4-0 friendly win over Japan in Wroclaw, Poland.
Two goals by Clint Dempsey helped the USA to a 3-1
win over Guatemala in Kansas to take them to the top of
their World Cup qualifying group.
Andros Townsend was an unused substitute for England
Under-21s as they beat Serbia 1-0 away to go through to the
finals in Israel next year 2-0 on aggregate. Steven
Caulker and Adam Smith played the whole 90
minutes, picking up yellow cards, while Danny Rose
got a red card after the final whistle for a second bookable
offence, only to be racially abused when he walked off, with
players and coaches involved in a massive fight instigated
by the Serbian players and staff.
The Daily Mirror reckons Daniel Sturridge will look
to move on from Stamford Bridge in January, with Liverpool
and Tottenham keen on the young forward.

Kyle Walker played all 90 minutes of England's 5-0
win over San Marino at Wembley in a World Cup qualifying
match tonight. Aaron Lennon came on as a 10th
minute substitute, while Jermain Defoe stayed on the
bench as an unused substitute
Gareth Bale was the Wales hero with two goals - one a
penalty - that turned around the match against Scotland at
Wales in a World Cup qualifier. Wales were trailing,
but Bale's two strikes ensured a first three points for his
country in this campaign as they went on to win 2-1.
Both Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele played
all of Belgium's 3-0 away win against Serbia in their World
Cup qualifying game tonight.
A winning goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson gave Iceland a
2-1 away World Cup qualifying win over Albania tonight.
Clint Dempsey played 90 minutes as the USA beat
Antigua & Barbuda in Antigua tonight. Former Spurs
youngster Zaine Francis-Angol played for Antigua &
Barbuda.
France suffered a 0-1 friendly loss to Japan in Paris
tonight, with Hugo Lloris playing in goal for the
French.
Bongani Khumalo played the whole of South Africa's
0-1 friendly defeat to Poland in Warsaw tonight.
Steven Caulker, Danny Rose and Adam Smith both
started the England U21 game in the first leg of the
play-off against Serbia, which they won 1-0 at Carrow Road
tonight. Smith was brought down for the penalty that
wont he match for England. Andros Townsend made
his Under-21 debut as a 65th minute substitute and almost
set up a goal with a free-kick that Caulker met with his
head, but the keeper made a very good stop.
Tottenham's NextGen matches against Anderlecht have now had
dates arranged for them. Spurs travel to play in the
Constant Vanden Stock stadium in Brussels on Wednesday
October 31st with the game kicking off at 19:30 local time
(18:30 UK time), while the home tie will take place at
Hotspur Way on Thursday 13th December, with a 13:00 kick
off.
Spurs are linked with a move for 27 year old Turkish
striker, Burak Yilmaz according to TalkSport, who
claim Liverpool and West Ham United are also interested in
the Galatasaray forward, who might fetch £13 million.
Internazionale are Tottenham's main rivals for Borussia
Moenchengladbach' s 21 year old midfielder Patrick
Hermann, who is rated at £7.5 million, according to the
Sun.
Former Spurs midfielder Edgar Davids has joined
Barnet as joint Head Coach, alongside another former Spur
Mark Robson, while the Dutch midfielder also hopes to
turn out as a player for the bottom League club.

to decide whether to re-instate former Spurs forward
Darren Bent to the starting line-up after his goal
earned Villa a point against West Bromwich Albion last week.
