  Spurs Reserves match against Chelsea has been moved from Tuesday 13th December to Wednesday 14th December with a 7.00 p.m. kick off.
  If Neil Warnock takes over at Portsmouth, it is rumoured that he will visit Spurs to buy midfielder Michael Brown.
  Tottenham are supposed to be buying Antonio Guayre of Villarreal to use the striker as a bargaining tool to secure the services of Deportivo La Coruna's defender Cesar.  Depor are interested in the Yellow Submarines' forward and Spurs might use him as a part of a deal to get the Spanish central defender at White Hart Lane.  It is also suggested on the TeamTalk site that Guayre might act as cover for Mido while he is away on African Nations Cup duty.
  17 year-old Paraguayan Rivaldo looks likely to move to Italy from his home country after being on trial at Tottenham recently.

  Chairman Daniel Levy has said that there will be no January sale and that the club will look to bring players in should the right opportunity arise.  Levy said that it was a compliment to the club that offers might come in for our players, but that was nto to say that they would be accepted, but that the club had to strike a careful balance between the young players at the club and adding further quality to the team.  The chairman also went on to praise Martin Jol, who he told Sky Sports News had brought an "enthusiasm and great rapport" with the staff to the club.
  Stephen Kelly is attracting interest from Preston North End following stories that the Irish defender is considering his future at Spurs.
  Edgar Davids has said that he feels as though referees are targeting him for yellow cards and to give free-kicks against.  The BBC Football website claims that if Davids receives three more yellow cards before April 9 he will serve a two-match ban.  We have 18 league matches before then, so that will probably see Davids collect 18 more cautions.
  The Reserves game at Coventry City next Tuesday December 6th has been postponed, as the Sky Blues are involved in an FA Youth Cup tie.
  
Tottenham Reserve goalkeeper Marton Fulop tied with Plymouth Argyle midfielder Akos Buzsaky for 15th place in the Hungarian Player of the Year award.

  OTHER NEWS ... Ahly of Egypt have established a new world record for going games unbeaten with 55 in all competitions.  They have not lost since June2004.  The world record for unbeaten league games is ongoing in Ivory Coast, where Asec Mimosas have not lost in 106 matches ... Ronaldinho has been named as European Footballer for 2005 ... Chelsea will appeal against a £30,000 fine for not controlling their fans in a League Cup tie against West Ham United last season ... David O'Deary has been fined £50,000 for his derogatory comments to referee Graham Poll ...

  Spurs and Manchester United are supposedly keen to sign the Marseille midfielder Franck Ribery, who could cost as much as £8 million.  AC Milan, Juventus and other clubs are also lining up to buy the France Under-21 player.
  According to the Sunday Mirror, Spurs are preparing to offload 18 players including Andy Reid, Pedro Mendes, Noe Pamarot, Michael Brown and Sean Davis.
  Sky Sports website tells us that Edgar Davids has been trying to convince Dirk Kuyt that he should move to Spurs and the Dutch international striker seems keen to believe what the veteran midfielder tells him.
  In an article in today's Observer, Martin Jol has said that Edgar Davids has been carrying on Dutch traditions at Spurs Lodge by staying after training to pass on his knowledge to Aaron Lennon and Wayne Routledge.

  The Daily Mirror reports that Jermain Defoe is unhappy at being dropped in favour of Robbie Keane and may seek showdown talks with Martin Jol.  The report claims that Manchester United made an £8 million bid for the England striker in August and may be back in for him, if it looks like he might leave White Hart Lane.

  The Sun claims that Stephen Kelly is stalling on a new contract at Tottenham as he is not getting first team football.  The young Irishman said that his contract is up at the end of the season and he will have to think about not playing regularly in the Premiership rather than not just taking the money.
  Andy Reid is the subject of rumour in the Daily Mirror who reckon Leeds United are keen to sign him for £1 million, but Martin Jol has denied there is any truth in the story.
  Damien Comolli has said that there is no truth in the rumours of Tottenham wanting to sign Franck Ribery from Marseille.
  Former Spurs reserve winger David Galbraith has joined Boston United on loan from Northampton Town.

  Spurs Reserves beat Crystal Palace Reserves 5-0 at Stevenage Borough FC tonight.  There were two goals each for Lee Barnard and Andy Barcham, with one more from Andy Reid.
  West Ham United manager Alan Pardew has offered an apology to Mido for the racist chanting that came from the Irons supporters at Sunday's game.

  Marseille have said that midfielder Franck Ribery is not for sale.  The France Under-21 player impressed in the two-legged play-off against England last week, but his club chairman has said that the £1 million transfer link with Spurs will not materialise, as they wish to retain him even if a  large offer was received for the 22 year old.
  Wayne Routledge is set to play for the Reserves at Stevenage Borough against Crystal Palace Reserves tomorrow night.
  Paul Robinson has admitted that fear drives him on to keep his place in the England team.  The Spurs keeper said that one mistake can cost you your place, but he was happy with how it had gone with the national team since winning his place in the side.
  Milenko Acimovic has told the media that he thinks he may have joined Spurs too early in his career and perhaps he should have gone to France before making the move to England.  The Slovenian midfielder said he is now more mature and doesn't "cry when things don't go the right way."

  Martin Jol was very unhappy with the racist chanting of the West Ham United fans towards Mido in yesterday's game.  The FA have said they will ask both sides what have to say about the songs after they have gathered all the information on the incident.
  Ghanaian defender Francis Dickoh may join Spurs in the January transfer window, as he has intimated that he will leave FC Norsjalland after being linked with a number of French clubs and watched by Tottenham scouts at the weekend.
  Lee Young-Pyo has not made the last three shortlist for the Asian Footballer of the Year.

  Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed an extra month extension on the loan deal for Tom Huddlestone, which will keep him at Molineux until the middle of December, the Daily Star tells us.
  The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are keen to sign Franck Ribery, the French Under-21 striker from Marseille for £1 million.
  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Spurs are hoping that Aaron Lennon will be fit for Sunday's match against West Ham after suffering a slight thigh muscle tear..

  Spurs have two young Danish goalkeepers on trial at the moment, Sky Sports website reveals.  Mikkel Andersen of AB Copenhagen and Martin Hansen of Brondby will be viewed with the prospect of Spurs making a move for one or both of them if the club's goalkeeping staff believe they have potential.
  28 year old Deportivo La Coruna defender Cesar is said to be the subject of speculation that he will be leaving the Spanish club in the transfer window.  His club appear to be ready to listen to offers for the Spanish international, with Spurs said to be favourites to sign the player.
  Tottenham are said to be watching Ahmad Hossam of Feyenoord, according to Sky Sports, with the Egyptian midfielder claiming that Arsenal have been in touch with his club about a move for him.
  Former Spurs striker Helder Postiga is looking to move on from FC Porto as he is unhappy at the lack of opportunity to play.
  Mido scored for Egypt in their 1-2 defeat by Tunisia in a friendly international.

  The Daily Express and the Daily Mail claim that Ledley King is demanding £80,000 a week as his salary for his new contract.
  Aaron Lennon is believed to have agreed a new contract at Spurs that will double his basic salary.
  Lee Pyo-Young has been selected as a member of a ten-man shortlist for the Asian Football Confederation Player of the Year award.
  England goalkeeping coach and former Spurs keeper Ray Clemence has said that Paul Robinson will become one of the world's great goalkeepers.
  Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone both played the full 90 minutes of England Under-21s play-off second leg against France in Nancy, which England lost 1-2 (2-3 on aggregate).
  The Sunderland game against Spurs will now take place on Sunday 12th February 2006 with a 13.30 p.m. kick off after being moved from Saturday 11th.

  Spurs have hit back at stories that Ledley King needs a cartilage operation.  Some rumours were circulating that King would be out for six weeks with a knee operation, but the club have said this is not true and that he played for England at the weekend because he was fit and able to do so.

  Spurs have hit back at stories in the News of the World that Ledley King's £9 million contract talks have hit problems.  The club said that they had instigated talks about a new deal, but Damien Comolli stated that no offer has yet been made.  The Sunday Mirror believe that Chelsea will make a move for Ledley when he fails to agree a new contract at Tottenham.
  A number of papers are linking Tottenham with a move for Dutch winger Arjen Robben should he leave Chelsea.
  Michael Brown has rejected a loan move to Leeds United as he prefers to stay and fight for his place in the Spurs side.  The News of the World claim that Brown is set to return to Sheffield United and the Sunday People reckon he will join Birmingham City in a cut-price deal.
  In the Sunday Express and the Star on Sunday, Edgar Davids says that Spurs could be come the English Ajax.
  Mido has reiterated that he would like to make his move to White Hart Lane permanent as Martin Jol has straightened him out after he had problems at other clubs and he thinks that the club is ambitious and wants to repay Jol for his faith in him.

  Spurs look in pole position to sign Panamanian striker Gonzales Kiese Rivaldo ahead of a number of European clubs who had been watching him for a while now.  Lazio had the 17 year-old player but he returned to his home club Nacional, although he now looks ready to make the move to Europe.  Sky Sports claim that AC Milan, Real Madrid, Internazionale, Roma and Manchester United were hoping to get a crack at signing the young star who has been training with Spurs this week and has been allowed to stay for one more week.  This could give Tottenham the first chance to buy him when the transfer window opens and as Rivaldo (as he likes to be known) has a Spanish passport, there will be no problem with a work permit.
  Paul Robinson played the whole game and Ledley King 58 minutes of England's 3-2 win over Argentina in Geneva tonight.

  MEHSTG's spin story ... Manchester United's dressing room was supposedly bugged before last week's match against Chelsea.  The information gleaned from Alex Ferguson's team-talks was to be sold to The Sun newspaper, but they passed the details to United.  The scheme fell flat when Fergie kicked a disregarded boot and missed a player's head, but struck the recording device, rendering it useless.  As far as Mourinho is concerned, it was a shame he didn't hit Darren Fletcher !!

  A record crowd for an England Under-21 international of 34,574 saw England draw 1-1 with France in the European Championships finals play-off first leg tonight.  A late goal by Darren Ambrose salvaged a draw after Anthony Le Tallec put the visitors ahead.  The England side featured Tottenham's Michael Dawson, who was the England captain and Tom Huddlestone.
  The club's away game at Fulham has been brought forward from Wednesday 1st February 2006 to Tuesday 31st January 2006, with the kick off at 20.00 p.m.
  Spurs Under-18s beat Milton Keynes Dons 3-1.

  Ledley King successfully completed an England training session today and has flown out to Switzerland with the squad for Saturday's international friendly with Argentina.
  The Daily Star claims that Sheffield United's attempt to take their former midfielder Michael Brown back to Bramall Lane will be contested by Glasgow Rangers and Leeds United.
  Spurs have taken two young Ghanaian players from Ashanti Gold on trial for a fortnight.  Opoku Agyemang and Wakaso Mubarak have been the subject of favourable reports and Martin Jol wants to take a closer look at the Ghana Under-17 internationals.
  Youth team player Richard Heller has been told he can leave Tottenham and looks set for a trial at Luton Town.
  Former Spurs defender Ronnie Henry has been called into the England non-league national side.

  Ledley King sat out training with England today with a knee injury which might rule him out of Saturday's friendly with Argentina, although it looks likely he will now train with the squad tomorrow.
  Spurs are said to have been watching Deportivo La Coruna defender Cesar, along with Liverpool and Newcastle United.  The 28 year old is a Spanish international centre half and Tottenham are said to be favourites to sign him in January according to the local press.  However, being over-blessed with players in this position, perhaps there are other positions that might be strengthened first.
  The reserve match called off last week by Portsmouth has now been rearranged for Tuesday 29th November, with a 7.00 p.m. kick off.
  Spurs are being linked with a move for Chelsea's Dutch winger Arjen Robben in January, as reports claim he is unsettled at Stamford Bridge.
  Former Spurs manager Terry Venables has been installed as favourite to take the vacant Republic of Ireland manager's job, after heavy betting on him lead to a suspension of wagers.

  Ledley King will not be disciplined by the FA after he was fouled by Stelios Giannokopolous and the Spurs captain's boot made contact with the Greek midfielder's face as King tried to regain his balance.
  Aaron Lennon will miss out for England Under-21s in their play-off first leg at White Hart Lane on Friday, as he has a hamstring tear picked up in training, but hopes to be back in time for the Premier League match against West Ham United on November 20th.
  The reserves lost 0-1 at home to Leicester City tonight.

  Michael Dawson, Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone have been selected for the England Under-21 squad to face France in a play-off for the European Championship finals at White Hart Lane next Friday.
  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : - Edgar Davids is available again after serving a one match suspension, but Teemu Tainio will miss the game after receiving an elbow to his head in the game last Saturday.
  BOLTON WANDERERS TEAM NEWS : - 
El-Hadji Diouf may start in the Bolton line-up as Henrik Pedersen is doubtful with an Achilles problem.  Ivan Campo and Nicky Hunt definitely miss the game with injuries.
  Stephen Kelly sustained a broken nose after a training ground collision with Jamie O'Hara, but expects to be available for selection for Monday's game.
  Spurs could make a January move for Monaco's Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor.  The 21 year old forward has not settled into the team this season and might look for a move to rekindle his career and the Sky Sports website says that Everton and Arsenal are also interested.
  Former Spurs striker Jamie Slabber, now with Grays Athletic, has been called in the England national game squad (non-league).

  The Daily Mirror claims that Spurs are ready to sell Michael Brown to Glasgow Rangers in the January transfer window.
  The newspaper reckons it could be the start of a five player clear-out at White Hart Lane, with the other players being Andy Reid, Calum Davenport, Grzegorz  Rasiak and maybe Robbie Keane.  In addition, it may be that Sean Davis, Dean Marney, Johnnie Jackson and Noe Pamarot could also join the list of players leaving the club.
  Sky Sports report that Martin Jol has denied these reports and said that he does not want to get rid of all the players stated in the report.
  Spurs are looking to Korea for a new shirt sponsor, according to the London Evening Standard.
