   The Sun reckon Spurs are going to make a move for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayour.
   In the Daily Mail, they report that Aston Villa might renew their previous interest in signing Robbie Keane.
   The Metro newspaper reckon that Spurs might make a January move for Bolton Wanderers central defender Gary Cahill or West Ham United's Matthew Upson, as they fear that Younes Kaboul's injury picked up on Sunday will keep him out for a long time.

   CRIME WATCH ... After two Real Madrid players picked up second bookings to get sent off in their match against Ajax in the Champions League last week, the club's manager Jose Mourinho has been banned for two matches in the competition (the second game suspended for three years) and he was fined £33,500.  The two who were dismissed - Xavi Alonso and Sergio Ramos - were fined £16,700, while two goalkeepers - Jerzy Dudek and Iker Casillias - were both fined for passing the message from Mourinho to the players who were sent off ...

   Harry Redknapp has hit back at Damien Comolli's claims that the former Sporting Director was responsible for Tottenham's current success.  The Frenchman reckons he was the man behind a number of the signings that are currently in the Tottenham team, but there were also a crop of players who were brought in, but have had made impression on the first team at White Hart Lane.
   The Sun claim that Robbie Keane might be on the move to the American MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps (where former Spurs Chief Executive Paul Barber is now working), Portland Timbers or New England Revolution possible destinations.
   Former Spurs Director of Football Frank Arnesen is to resign his post as Sporting Director at Chelsea at the end of the season.

   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -  Ledley King is to see a specialist about his groin injury and passing him in the other direction will be Jonathan Woodgate, who is now back in training, as is Michael Dawson after his knee and ankle ligament damage picked up playing for England in August.  Rafael van der Vaart is only rated as 50-50 for Sunday's match against Liverpool after picking up an ankle injury against Arsenal last weekend.  Tom Huddlestone (ankle), Giovani dos Santos (groin) and Jamie O'Hara (back) are all out of the running for consideration.
   LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS : - Liverpool will be missing Steven Gerrard with a tight hamstring, while Joe Cole's hamstring makes him a doubt, although he has a good chance of taking some part in the match.  Daniel Agger has a calf muscle pull and Jay Spearing has an ankle injury.
   On the TalkSport website they reveal that Diego Forlan will pass up the chance to join Spurs in January to finish his career with Atletico Madrid.
   The Daily Mail claims that Spurs are to press ahead with their pursuit of occupying the Olympic Stadium at Stratford despite getting permission from the Mayor of London to continue with the development at Northumberland Park.
   TRAVEL UPDATE : -  The London Underground strike goes ahead at the moment, starting on Sunday at 19:00.  The North Circular has been subject to road works between the M11 and the Waterworks roundabout for the last week and there may be some hold-ups there.

   Mayor of London Boris Johnson gave Spurs the green light to continue with their quest to gain planning permission to build the new ground as part of the Northumberland Park development.  He allowed the Haringey Council decision to grant planning permission to stand and now the matter moved before the Secretary of State to make the final decision on the project.
   The Daily Mail claims that PSV Eindhoven winger Ola Toivenen is set to stay with the Dutch club, but the Swede might move on in the summer opening the floodgates to rumours about a move to the Premier League with Spurs and Liverpool named as destinations..

   Tottenham beat Werder Bremen 3-0 at White Hart Lane tonight to progress to the last 16 of the competition.  For a match report click here.
   A Spurs XI beat Ipswich Town at Spurs Lodge today.  Cameron Lancaster, Massimo Luongo, Simon Dawkins and a penalty by Harry Kane secured a 4-1 victory.
   Arsenal and Spurs are reported on TalkSport's website to be interested on Lorient's striker Kevin Gameiro.
   Everton and Sunderland could be after David Bentley according to the Daily Mail.

   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -  Rafael van der Vaart is a doubt for tomorrow's game against Werder Bremen in the Champions League after getting a knock on his ankle on Saturday.  Jonathan Woodgate (groin), Ledley King (groin), Michael Dawson (ankle) and Jamie O'Hara (back) are all out of the game, but Jermain Defoe will play some part and Robbie Keane has resumed training after an ankle injury.
   WERDER BREMEN TEAM NEWS : -  Utility player Wesley is out with a pulled hamstring and central defender Naldo is also missing from the Bremen squad.  This is in addition to a long injury list including Torsten Frings, Perti Pasanen, Claudio Pizarro, Sebastien Boenisch and Clemens Fritz, which have required the drafting of seven young players with little or no first team experienc einto the travelling squad.
   Harry Redknapp has told TalkSport's website that he is not going to make a move for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema in the January transfer window.
   In the London free paper Metro, it reports that Tottenham will try to pip Marseille for the signature of Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia.

   The Daily Mail report that Spurs may be looking to bring in Real Madrid's French striker Karim Benzema on loan in January.
   The Sun however, reckon that Harry Redknapp will return to Upton Park to sign midfielder Scott Parker in the transfer window.
   SkySports website links Spurs with Espanyol midfielder Javi Marquez, who says he is happy at the Barcelona club but it is pleasing to be linked with Spurs and Wigan Athletic.

   The London newspaper Metro has reported that Niko Kranjcar might be on his way out of Spurs in January, but not to Liverpool, who were due to offer £7 million, but to Bundesliga side Hamburg.
   The News of the World also report on another exit from the Lane in January, with David Bentley being lined up as a transfer target for former Blackburn Rovers and now Fulham manager Mark Hughes.
   The same paper claims that Harry Redknapp is keen on making an £8 million bid for Newcastle United's Spanish defender Jose Enrique and is also considering a move for the club's England striker Andy Carroll.
   Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach is set to be the subject of a third bid by Tottenham, rumoured to be around £3 million, ready to be made in January, according to the Sunday People.

   Tottenham beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates stadium this afternoon.  For a match report, click here.
   Chairman Daniel Levy has issued a statement on the Spurs website criticising MP David Lammy for his comments about Tottenham's bid for the Olympic Stadium at Stratford, stating that the cost of the new stadium at Tottenham would be privately funded, as it does not attract and public funding, unlike the developments at Wembley and Arsenal.

   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -  Spurs have David Bentley (calf), Robbie Keane (ankle) and Niko Kranjcar (calf) doubtful for the game tomorrow at Arsenal.  Injured and out of the running for the game are Vedran Corluka (groin), Ledley King (groin), Giovani dos Santos (groin), Michael Dawson (knee and ankle), Tom Huddlestone (ankle), Jamie O'Hara (back) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin).  However, Aaron Lennon has overcome his hamstring strain and Jermain Defoe is fit enough to return to the squad after months out with his ankle injury.
   ARSENAL TEAM NEWS : -  Striker Nicklas Bendtner is doubtful with a groin injury, Jack Wilshire's back will be assessed before the game, as will Andrei Arshavin and Tomas Rosicky's hamstring, while definitely out are Aaron Ramsey (broken leg), Vassiriki
Diaby (ankle), Manuel Almunia (elbow), Emmanuel Frimpong (knee), Thomas Vermaelen (achilles).

   Everton and Liverpool will contest the signing of Spurs midfielder Niko Kranjcar in January according to TalkSport's website.
   The Daily Mail claims that Spurs and Manchester City are eyeing Fulham's 18 year old winger Keanu Marsh-Brown, whose contract expires in the summer.
   Tottenham MP David Lammy has revealed on his website that he does not believe that Spurs are using the bid to move into the Olympic Stadium as a bargaining tool, but as a serious option for their future home.

   The Head of UK Athletics has said that Tottenham's bid to occupy the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games is unacceptable, as they intend to rip out the running track and turn the stadium into a football and events venue.
   Peter Crouch came off the England bench in the 84th minute and scored England's goal just two minutes later as they lost 1-2 at Wembley to France in a friendly.  Younes Kaboul was an unused substitute for France.
   Niko Kranjcar scored twice for Croatia in their home Euro 2012 qualifying 3-0 win over Malta tonight.  Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka also played the whole 90 minutes.
   Rafael van der Vaart played 80 minutes of Holland's 1-0 friendly win over Turkey in Amsterdam tonight.

   The Daily Express report that Spurs may make a January bid for West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker with Tom Huddlestone being out for three months following ankle surgery.
   Steven Caulker made his debut for England Under-21s in their 0-2 defeat to Germany Underr-21s in Wiesbaden tonight, coming on as a 77th minute substitute.  Spurs team-mate Danny Rose played the whole game.

   The Sunday Mirror claims that Spurs may sell Peter Crouch in January to raise funds for a new striker.
   And the News of the World suggest that striker might be Newcastle United's Andy Carroll, who would be involved in a deal that sees Robbie Keane, David Bentley and £10 million move North.
   The NoTW also report that Harry Redknapp might move to make transfer bids at his old club West Ham United for defender Matthew Upson and Carlton Cole.  With the Irons doing so badly in the league, they might have to accept lower bids for the players than they have previously turned down, with £250,000 being rumoured for Upson (when an offer of £4.5 million was rejected last season) and £8 million for Cole, who was not allowed to leave for £9 million in the summer.
   The Sunday People have Aaron Lennon down as one to go, to make room and cash available for Ashley Young of Aston Villa, although a swap deal is mentioned in the article.
   The Sunday Mirror run a story claiming that Harry Redknapp has been sounded out by the FA about taking over from Fabio Capello as England manager when the Italian's contract is up in 2012.

   Tottenham Hotspur's joint bid with AEG to occupy the Olympic Stadium at Stratford once the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics have finished is one of the front runners for the lease on the venue along with West Ham United, who are backed by the London Borough of Newham.
   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -  David Bentley (calf), Roman Pavlyuchenko (back) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) all suffered knocks on Tuesday in the game against Sunderland and are doubtful for tomorrow's meeting with Blackburn Rovers.  Ledley King (groin), Jonathan Woodgate (groin), Aaron Lennon (hamstring), Jamie O'Hara (back), Jermain Defoe (ankle), Michael Dawson (ankle and knee), Robbie Keane (ankle) and Giovani dos Santos (groin) all remain injured and are unlikely to be considered.
   BLACKBURN ROVERS TEAM NEWS : -   Vince Grella and Keith Andrews are both ruled out with groin injuries, while hamstring victims Benjani, Steven Nzonzi and Martin Olsson are all sidelined for tomorrow's match at the Lane.
   Tottenham are supposedly interested in Bolton Wanderers' central defender Gary Cahill according to the Daily Mirror, but the Sun reckon Arsenal are planning a £15 million bid for the England international.
   In the same Mirror story, they claim that Spurs might also bid for the Trotters striker Johan Elmander, as Bolton might need to sell players in January to balance their books after announcing a £35 million loss.

   Spurs released their latest financial statement today and they are £6.5 million in debt after player trading, having made a profit on other operations of £22.7 million for the year ending June 2010.  Costs for the new stadium have risen, Daniel Levy has said in his statement and the cost amounts to about £50 million and this is why the club are seeking a fall-back position with the Olympic Stadium at Stratford, in case the permission from the Mayor of London or the Secretary of State is not forthcoming ... and, more realistically, if it is a more financially viable option.
   Tottenham are being linked to Dinamo Zagreb defender Vime Vrsaljko, along with Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United, the Daily Mail reports.
   The Sun claim that another defender will be a target for Spurs in January and he is Newcastle United's Mike Williamson.
   The Victoria Line on the London Underground will be closed on Saturday for Tottenham's home game against Blackburn Rovers.

   Dean Parrett has returned to Spurs from his loan spell at Plymouth Argyle, where he was sent off in the FA Cup tie against Swindon Town on Saturday.

   Rafael van der Vaart has been named as the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for October.
   The FA have confirmed that no action will be taken against Tom Huddlestone for an alleged stamp on Johan Elmander's chest in Saturday's game against Bolton Wanderers, as referee Chris Foy saw the incident and did not take any action.
   Former Spurs midfielder Edgar Davids has left his pay-as-you-play deal with Crystal Palace after only seven starts for the struggling South London club.

   The Mail on Sunday is reporting that Spurs may be ready to fund new signings in January by selling David Bentley and Niko Kranjcar.
   The Daily Star Sunday claims that Spurs will put together a player plus cash deal totalling £20 million for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young in January.

   Real Madrid and Barcelona are preparing bids of £50 million for Gareth Bale according to the Sun, while the Daily Mirror has Internazionale coming in for the Welsh midfielder.
   The Mirror also thinks that Tottenham will make a £3 million offer for 23 year old French striker Nolan Roux of Brest, but will be challenged for his signature by Spanish clubs Getafe and Hercules.

   Harry Redknapp will not be charged for his comments after the game at Old Trafford on Saturday and the FA say that they were not swayed in their decision by the threat by the Spurs manager not to speak to the press after games again.
   A Spurs XI beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Spurs Lodge with the goals scored by David Bentley and Nathan Byrne.
   The Daily Mirror claims that Gareth Bale's performances have drawn Barcelona's attention to the Welshman.
   The same paper reports that Sulley Muntari of Internazionale might be a January transfer target, although a deal may be complicated by the fact that Portsmouth are still owed money for the Ghanaian midfielder.
   Talksport's website reckon Spurs are one of four clubs in for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra, with Everton, Liverpool and Aston Villa being the others.

   Harry Redknapp has hit back at rumours that he will be charged with bringing the game into disrepute following his comments about TCC and his decision to allow Manchester United's second goal on Saturday at Old Trafford.  Redknapp said that if the authorities didn't want him to tell the truth in post-match interviews, he would stop doing them.
   TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS : -   Both Tom Huddlestone and Rafael van der Vaart trained today ahead of the Champions League game against Internazionale tomorrow and hope to feature in the match.  Spurs will be without Heurelho Gomes (suspended), Ledley King (groin), Jonathan Woodgate (groin), Michael Dawson (ankle/knee), Jermain Defoe (ankle), Jamie O'Hara (back) and Vedran Corluka (groin).
   INTERNAZIONALE TEAM NEWS : -  Both midfielder Esteban Cambiasso and goalkeeper Julio Cesar are big doubts following their hamstring injuries in Saturday's game against Genoa.
