Switzerland to watch FC Basel v Chelsea last night, with the
popular view being that he was there to watch the Egyptian
winger Mohamed Salah play for the home team, with
Tottenham quoted as having an interest in bidding for him in
January.
The Daily Mail dwells on the non-story about Andre
Villas-Boas getting the sack and reckon a shock move for
former AS Roma manager Luis Enrique might be on the
cards, with Franco Baldini a keen supporter of the
former Spanish international for the job. They also
put Michael Laudrup and Harry Redknapp in the
frame for the job !!

Spurs are considering a loan move for Real Madrid striker
Alvaro Morata, who may be keen on the opportunity to get
some first team action. The 21 year old was mooted as
a part of the Gareth Bale deal, but the wrangling
over his price prevented this, but Real think that he needs
to get some experience and another striker, maybe to replace
one on the way out, might be a good deal for Tottenham
according to the Daily Mirror.
And it appears that Jermain Defoe will be the man to
make way, as the Mirror reveals that the 30 year old striker
has agreed a move to Toronto in Canada in the January
transfer window. He will earn £90,000 a week, with
Tottenham getting £6 million for his transfer to the MLS
side.
